MFAA Prosper : Mortgage and Finance Brief 07
South Australia/Northern Territories A highlight of the SA/NT event schedule this year was a presentation by Robert Gerrish, which was held at the Banquet Room at the Adelaide Festival Centre. Over 130 delegates attended the event in August. Also held at the Banquet Room was March's Luncheon Seminar, which was facilitated by Peter Switzer and featured a panel including MFA A's Phil Naylor, RBA's Jonathan Kearns, Advantedge's Steve Weston and Damian Percy of Adelaide Bank. June's NT Golf Day raised $1,300 for NT bu rns victims, while the an nual SA Golf Day on 22 October, held at the Blackwood cou rse, was enjoyed by 104 members. In October, the SA/NT board for the new year was finalised. David Slama, Andrew Har rison, Paul Hutchins and Eli Melky stepped dow n, while newly elected were Leah Busby and Kevin Doyle. A successful year was rounded off by Christmas celebrations at Adelaide Zoo. The event, which was themed "Black and White" to match the pandas, was attended by over 160 members. Queensland 2010 finished off with a flu rry of events in Queensland. The annual Gold Coast golf day was held on 26 November at The Glades - 94 people attended a shot gu n Ambrose event that was won by The Loan Market team captained by Grant Hu nter. Meanwhile, the Brisbane Christmas party was held on 9 December at The Landing Dockside, Kangaroo Point, with 89 people in attendance. Finally, the Gold Coast Christmas party was held on 16 December at the Sky Room Q1 Obser vation Deck, Su rfers Paradise, and 100 people attended. During the year many training and professional development days were also held and were very well attended. One of the highlights was the Brisbane & Su rfers Paradise NCCP update Breakfast Seminars, where Richard Williams of MacGilliv rays solicitors was the keynote speaker.
